An Austrian German Shepherd, Tehya met her first Lipizzans after she was imported into the United States by Keith Duly as a surprise Christmas present for Susan Castle (delivered four months late!).

At only six (6) months of age and after watching horse life for only a few days, Tehya taught herself to “fetch” the Lipizzans and bring them back to the stables for their evening suppers. Her greatest joy remains morning and evening feedings, where she locates and brings the horses back to their stalls, should they “miss” their dinner times.
